Random monolouge that I have memorized from, "Man Of La Mancha."
I have lived nearly fifty years and I have seen life as it is. Pain...Misery...Hunger...Cruelty beyond belief. I have heard the singing from taverns and the moans from bundles of filth on the streets. I have served as an officer in the army and I have held men in my arms at their final moment. No glory, no gallant last words. Only their eyes filled with confusion whimpering the question, "why?" I do not think they asked why they were dying...But why they had lived.
When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where true madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams...This may be madness. To seek treasure where there is only trush. Too much sanity may be madness. And maddest of all...To see life as it is, and not as it should be.
"The Search For Inteligent Life In the Universe" - Jane Wagner
Here I am, standing at the corner of "walk, don't walk". You look away from me trying not to catch my eye, but you didn't turn quickly enough, did you?
I know what you're thinking. You're thinking I'm crazy. You think I give a hoot? You people look at my shopping bags and call me crazy because I collect this junk. What should we call the ones who buy it?
It's my beleive that we all at one time in our lives, secretly ask ourselves the question, "am I crazy?" In my case the answer came back a resounding: YES!
The signs are subtle, but unmistakable to trained eye. For instance, here I am standing at the corner of "walk, don't walk" waiting for these little aliens from outer space to come. I'd call that crazy, wouldn't you? If I were sane I'd be waiting for the light like everyone else.
They're late, as usual. You'd think that with all thye know about time travel that they'd be on time once in a while.
Drop me a line.
